Some updates on coming events. * On Thursday evening, April 5, The Thomas More Research Centre (TMRC) will host Dr. Johanne Patry’s presentation The Science of Art and The Art of Science. Dr. Patry, a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke, has spearheaded the development of the international organization Science on Stage across Canada. TMRC welcomes members of the Institute to attend Dr. Patry’s presentation. * TMCR’s President Joan Kahn will make a presentation of her own entitled Metaresearch; A Bird’s-Eye View of Research as a Sub-culture at a date to be announced in May. Dr. Kahn is scheduled to speak on this topic at the University of Saskatchewan this summer. *Be sure to mark Friday, April 20, on your calendar as the day everyone is invited to enjoy delicious food and deep thoughts at the Institute’s annual Volunteers Appreciation Lunch. *Also in the offing in May or June: Greg Santos has promised to give a reading of his poems from his third collection Blackbirds,just published in the UK. The event will be the local launch for Greg who has been our instructor on Imaginative Poetry Writing and Basic Essay Writing. * Just added to the Spring 2018 calendar, Shakespeare-in-the-Spring: Coriolanus and Julius Caesar. The former will be one of the attractions on the playbill for those heading for Stratford Festival in late June.
